I’m not a Mom but I’m trying to become one. Didn’t know it would be such a difficult task but long and behold it is.  Today the first day of December and I am happy because this is my favorite season but it’s a difficult season for me.  All I see is children with their toys and sitting on Santa’s  lap and making Christmas list for Santa. I can’t stand it. I want a baby to buy outfits for and gifts for and coo over.  Besides this season the start of the school year  and summer just come in a slight second.

Happy Holidays to All!

A few months ago I spoke to my GYN about TTC  and basically she told me a bunch of things and I only grasped a few. I felt rushed, confused and unsatisfied. The other day I went to the library and came across a book that I think others might find satisfying that you can always go back to and refer to.  The book is, What To Expect Before You’re Expecting.  Since I have to return the book in a few days I might just have to buy my own.

TLC has a New Show Online about Women Trying To Conceive.  The concept:

Each participant in the series received several First Response testing kits and a digital video camera to document their lives and progress over the next seven months. The women send the footage to TLC producers, who edit the videos and post them online within a few days. Each participant also will contribute to a blog on the show’s Web site. First Response guided TLC in selecting the participants, and fertility specialist Peter Ahlering, a spokesperson for First Response, appears in informational videos on the site.

A lot of mixed reviews about this group of talented 7 year old girls. As for myself, I think the dancing was TERRIFIC but inappropriate for their age and their attire was risque for a group of prepubescent girls.

Found this on a baby site and thought “What a Great Idea!” This is a Baby Monitor where you can hear your baby and respond to your baby from any room.  It is not sold in the US but you can find it here and might be able to order it.

Another month and I’m out of Ovulation Tests.  If I knew in my 20’s that it was gonna be this way I would have tried back then to get pregnant.  I wanted to have 2 children but at this rate I think it’ll be just 1, if that even happens.  I’ll just try to keep  my chin up and continue trying.  So how is it going with you???

OMG! OMG! OMG! I’M OVULATING!

Now where’s my husband? LOL!

How long does this ovulation thing last?

Yes, it’s been awhile. So to update, I do not have Polycystic ovaries and all my blood test came back normal. Now I’m taking 50mg of Clomid and taking ovulation test. If the ovulation tests show that I’m not ovulating then the next step is increasing the dosage of Clomid for the next cycle. Well see how this goes and then after three months of this take a sono to make sure I have not developed any cysts.  After this there is a whole lot more she told me that would have to be done. Who would have known it was gonna be a pain in the ass to get pregnant.   Hope you’re having an easier time at this than I am.

I went to the OBGYN today after 2+ years of procrastinating.  She asked a bunch of questions which was great, exam, more questions, possible diagnosis and blood test to confirm. Results possibly on Monday to determine if I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome but all roads lead to yes thus far. I guess all I can do now is wait and educate myself on my possible diagnosis.
