A few months ago I spoke to my GYN about TTC  and basically she told me a bunch of things and I only grasped a few. I felt rushed, confused and unsatisfied. The other day I went to the library and came across a book that I think others might find satisfying that you can always go back to and refer to.  The book is, What To Expect Before You’re Expecting.  Since I have to return the book in a few days I might just have to buy my own.

TLC has a New Show Online about Women Trying To Conceive.  The concept:

Each participant in the series received several First Response testing kits and a digital video camera to document their lives and progress over the next seven months. The women send the footage to TLC producers, who edit the videos and post them online within a few days. Each participant also will contribute to a blog on the show’s Web site. First Response guided TLC in selecting the participants, and fertility specialist Peter Ahlering, a spokesperson for First Response, appears in informational videos on the site.

Yes, it’s been awhile. So to update, I do not have Polycystic ovaries and all my blood test came back normal. Now I’m taking 50mg of Clomid and taking ovulation test. If the ovulation tests show that I’m not ovulating then the next step is increasing the dosage of Clomid for the next cycle. Well see how this goes and then after three months of this take a sono to make sure I have not developed any cysts.  After this there is a whole lot more she told me that would have to be done. Who would have known it was gonna be a pain in the ass to get pregnant.   Hope you’re having an easier time at this than I am.

I went to the OBGYN today after 2+ years of procrastinating.  She asked a bunch of questions which was great, exam, more questions, possible diagnosis and blood test to confirm. Results possibly on Monday to determine if I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome but all roads lead to yes thus far. I guess all I can do now is wait and educate myself on my possible diagnosis.

Good news for all! Soon in Europe men will be able to take fertility testing in the privacy of their own home. YES!!! As for American men, the Food and Drug Administration is currently awaiting approval. YES!!!

I made the decision, I change to my regular Female GYN doctor. I have the appointment a month from now so we’ll see what happens to my period from now till then. I am still bleeding which is a surprise, it’s been 5 days. And to add to the drama I got a terrible cold, I guess at least it’s not the flu. I got a flu shot a few months ago.

I finally went to the GYN today and I almost didn’t go because I DID get my period today.  I did go though. I didn’t see my regular doctor because I would have to wait till sometime in March so I ended with a male doctor. I’m not 100% comfortable with a male doctor but I needed to see someone ASAP. So he did a pelvic exam and has me going in next week to do a pelvic sonogram. I also need an annual but I can’t do both at the same time since my insurance won’t cover it. So the day after my sonogram I have the annual exam appointment with the male doctor but I think I might change the appointment and wait till March to see my regular female doctor. The doctor mentioned I would probably be put on meds to help me ovulate but nothing can be giving to me until the exam. So do I wait until March to see my regular doctor or see the male doctor so I can be put on the medication and get pregnant?
